My Music Projects

I have loved playing the piano since I was little. I appreciate the beauty of classical music. To me, classical music serves as an alternative to reality. I received The Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 Certificate in Piano Performance in 2011. I was the piano accompanist for my high school choir. I continued my music education by undertaking a music performance minor at University of Toronto.

Applied Music Performance PMU299 Pilot Program

In my third year of undergraduate studies at University of Toronto, I enrolled in the full-year Applied Music Pilot program, which was taught by Prof. Midori Koga from the Department of Music. I am grateful for the opportunity to receive a complete program of professional musical training in playing the piano with my personal teacher Tristan, a graduate student in the Department of Music. I performed a reservoir of 4 different pieces for 20 minutes in total at the Final Showcase Recital in April 2021 before the Music Department panel and the Dean of Engineering program.

Piano Accompanist of Nankai High School Choir

I was the Piano Accompanist of Nankai High School Choir from 2015 to 2016. We performed two contradictory pieces at the 2016 Annual High School Choir Competition and won second place.

Other Music Projects

I have loved improvising and appreciating different types of music. I like to learn new piano pieces on my own in my free time. Here are some examples that I worked on in 2020. The first piece is Danzas de la moza donosa opus II by Ginastera, the second piece is Turkish March by Mozart, who is my favorite musician, and the third piece is Waltz Opus 70 No.1 in G flat by Chopin.
